OMG I have had this blog for a whole year!!!
And my-oh-my has time flown. A lot has changed in a year… I live in a different place, my sister is married, my parents moved here, and I’ve run two more marathons, two more adventure races, and a couple of half-marathons too. I still don’t feel like this blog has taken a specific direction other that just being a place for me to go post whatever the heck I feel like posting. Which I’m planing on doing RIGHT NOW!
First and foremost– Halestorm as released a new EP. I guess it’s to keep their fans from dying of anticipation while they wait to release the full album. Here it is:

Also, stay tuned because I’m in the process of creating an epic poster for a contest. Staind, Halestorm, and Godsmack are touring together in April and May (none of the stops are really near me, but I would totally man up and go if I won tix). The entry is due on March 5th, (the day after my marathon) so I’ll definitely be posting a link in the next couple of weeks for all my friends and readers to go vote!
And now, because my blog is so incredibly random, I am posting the recipe for Jamie Eason’s Post Workout Cinnamon Apple Cottage Cheese.
- 1 small apple
- 2 packets of truvia (or other suger wannabe)
- however much cottage cheese
This is so easy. You chop up the apple and dump the truvia and however much cinnamon you want (I’m with Jamie, I like a lot).
Then you microwave it for 1 minute.
Then add the cottage cheese! It’s totally up to you what the cheese/apple ratio should be.
Sorry… this stuff really isn’t photogenic at all. But it’s super tasty! It’s like a healthified version of apple pie with ice cream. [Sortof] hehe!
Also, I trired another SUPREME protein bar. Peanut Butter Crunch.
Again, yes this is totally processed. Still, someone has it figured out.
