The Victorias Secret fashion show was last night. I missed it, I don’t have cable.
Muscles rock… Anywho, I’ve been loving that store lately. I got a sweater from them and I really like it. It came with a free scarf too! I wore it yesterday even though it was 65 degrees. Come on, winter!!! Ugh. I also got some of those “boyfriend” style sweatpants. They are ridiculously comfortable. I used a coupon code and got a free “PINK mini dog” with them. I have no idea why, what am I gonna do with a stuffed dog? I think I’m just really obsessed with getting free things right now.

I get free lipgloss, shampoo samples, pens, all sorts of random doodads. It’s kinda fun, and it makes checking the mail a lot more exciting 🙂
Last night Brad came over again and we cooked steaks (again), put mushrooms and onions under it, and guacamole and I made cauliflower mashed potatoes.
For some reason I couldn’t finish eating that, haha! I enjoy hanging out with him. Having dinner alone all the time kinda sucks, so it’s nice to share it once in a while. Plus he taught me how to cook steak. I’m 26 and have never cooked steak! Bah! Maybe this summer I can even learn how to grill it! I hope all that protein is going to help out with my sore push-up arms.

Here’s my progress so far:

- day 2- 115
- day 3- 115
- day 4- 115
- day 5- 15 (so far, going to do more on my lunch break…)
Um. so yeah, my left shoulder has been twitching for over two hours. I’ve never been good at pushups, but I guess that’s why I should complete this challenge. My strategy: do 115 reps a day until I get caught up for missing day 1, then do 100 reps a day from here on out, unless I need a day off to heal. Then back to square 1.
Working out should be fun, and this push-up challenge definitely is not. But I’m stubborn and I want to be a stronger athlete, so here goes.

I split-snatched 110#–with correct form!!!! I have snatched 110 before but it was super ugly and very incorrectly done. This time, I did it right and landed 110 in a split. I normally prefer squat snatching, plus obviously I haven’t been able to do that lately. Splitting is kindof cool, though. It looks badass when you actually land it right.
Also, since we’re on this topic, I finally did a workout with squats in it:
20 min AMRAP:
5 Pull ups
10 Kettlebell swings (35lb)
I completed exactly ten rounds, and I almost died. BUT, I did the deep squat wall balls! HURRAY! Today I have the option to either run a mile for time or find an overhead squat max. I think it would be wiser to shoot for the mile. I don’t think bearing load in a squat is the best idea for me just yet…
